About
Lynn Armstrong brings a wealth of experience, insight, and compassion to her role as Special Counsel at VM Family Law. Admitted in 2005, Lynn practises exclusively in family law and domestic violence, with specialist expertise recognised through her Accredited Family Law Specialist qualification and appointment as an Independent Children’s Lawyer.
Before becoming a family lawyer, Lynn enjoyed a successful career in nursing, completing both general and mental health training. While these professions may seem worlds apart, Lynn credits her background in health for shaping her calm, empathetic and practical approach to supporting clients during some of the most challenging periods of their lives. The combination of these two career paths has proven invaluable, particularly in complex and sensitive matters.
Lynn holds a Bachelor of Laws, Master of Laws (Family Law) and a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing). She became an Accredited Family Law Specialist in 2013, an Independent Children’s Lawyer in 2021, and is also a Nationally Accredited Mediator, having conducted hundreds of mediations throughout her career.
Lynn finds family law both interesting and deeply rewarding. She enjoys working with a diverse range of clients across all areas of the family law sphere and is committed to developing pragmatic, practical and tailored solutions, assisting clients in Brisbane and Toowoomba. She is most often involved in matters requiring a high level of expertise, insight and care, particularly those involving complex family dynamics or vulnerable parties.
With her unique blend of legal skill, clinical understanding and genuine empathy, Lynn is a trusted advocate who guides her clients with clarity and confidence.
