About
Kiara Bergh is a Senior Associate at VM Family Law. She commenced her legal career as a paralegal in family law before being admitted as a solicitor in 2018, and has since practised exclusively in family law, building extensive experience and a strong reputation for her expertise, integrity and client-focused approach.
Kiara holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Journalism from Bond University, as well as a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and is a valued member of the Family Law Practitioners Association (FLPA).
Kiara has particular expertise in parenting, domestic violence and child safety matters and is recognised for her ability to navigate complex legal issues with clarity and precision. She was drawn to family law to make a tangible and meaningful difference in people’s lives, guiding clients through challenging circumstances with empathy and professionalism. Her approach is grounded in honesty, logic and unwavering dedication to achieving the best possible outcomes.
Kiara describes her role as “the hand to hold during the tornado”, supporting clients through difficult times and helping them reach the light at the end of the tunnel. She combines practical problem-solving with compassionate advocacy, striving to resolve matters efficiently and minimise unnecessary litigation wherever possible.
Outside of work, Kiara enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young children. She is an avid coffee enthusiast, a self-proclaimed iced vanilla latte devotee and has a playful sense of humour that complements her professional demeanor.
